Intranet portals are used commonly as information portal for employees in an organisation. Intranet portal at the minimum contains web content pages to provide information to facilitate work process of organisation.


Other then serving it's basic role as an information provider. Intranet portal may contains one of more additional features:

  • Smaller Intranet portals representing department or groups within the organisation

  • Collorabration portal to allow departments or teams to cloabrate with one another

  • Knowledge portal design to effecitvely capture and document knowledge in the organisation

  • Document reporsitoy as well as records management portal

  • Search portal to facilitate searches

  • Workflow portal to faciliate various work processes
